Letters from the woods

Mariano Rajoy softened the Forestry Law with the aim to reduce the punishment to those causing a fire. Obviously, the total burnt area in Spain grew rapidly.

In order to convince the Congress about the importance to recover the previous Law, we proposed WWF to create a special ink made of an unusual ingredient: ashes collected from an important fire; in this case, the one occurred at the Doñana National Park.

Furthermore, with that ink, we wrote a letter to Mariano Rajoy, asking him to rectify and increase the penalties for these crimes. Many celebrities as Espido Freire, Dani Rovira o Clara Lago echoed the news, and we know that Mariano Rajoy read our letter. However, everything remained the same.
